DC Fever

Since I can't watch the concert, I traipsed over at Glorietta for Dashboard Confessional's press con and meet and greet with fans, yes, because it was absolutely for free. Only sad I don't have anyone with me to scream along with that afternoon but the audience (the real fans, the one who knows that DC is absolutely not a boyband), we somehow connected. You know that feeling reverberating inside of you and you know that the person standing beside you is having the exact same pleasure and giddyness upon seeing the DC boys, fine Chris Carraba, and actually hearing them talk? I'm sure I felt it along with hundreds of fans who made their way to Glorietta to hear and see DC.

Chris, John, Mike and Scott were absolutely dashing and nice men who answered everyone's questions and entertained us with the kind of humor only natural where they come from. Thank you for stopping at Manila and giving your fans a chance to get intimate with you and your heart-wrenching songs. I wasn't there at your concert last night but I definitely could imagine how it went. *Kilig*

Such a dreamy face, Chris.

It's Official!

While hanging out in front of my old college department in UP (after accompanying Pam in getting her TOR and while waiting for Eman), Pam and I were nonchalantly reading the stuff posted on the Geography board and came upon the list of newly graduate Geographers. Our conversation went something like this:

Me: Uy, graduate na pala si Kim o! Tsaka si Jon at si Aui!
Pam: Onga no.
Me: O si Jarlo pala ngayon lang din gumradweyt?
Pam: E ikaw graduate ka na din di ba?
Me: Onga no! (na-shock bigla sa realization then skimmed the list to look for my name)
Ayun Panganiban! Shet graduate na din pala ko! (laughs idiotly).

Alam ko walang kwenta at irrele yung paggawa ko pa ng conversation (but I give myself a C for effort to attempt mwahaha). But back to the story, yes, I have officially graduated. My dilemma now is did I really or can I consider myself a '07 graduate?! Or 2010 graduate na ko talaga? Kasi it will mean I spent 10 (gasp!) years in college as opposed to my original 7 years only (um-only pa!). Na-lost ako.

But still, whether it took us 7, 8 or 10 years pa, Congratulations to us all!

Pool + Bingo Party!

Just when I thought the birthday party (and fever) is over, comes another surprise, And surprised really I was (though I'm practically grilling the Cheese over this one prior to finding out).

My dream bingo party just came true, the pool part was just an addition from the beautiful imagination of my friend Pam. Anyhoo, I'm so thankful to everyone who came despite the venue's proximity. To those who weren't able to come, I'm sure you have your reasons and I respect that. Pero sayang, di kayo nakapunta. It would've been more fun and riotous for sure.

It's funny how each year, new and different set of friends/people gather for my party. Whenever I skim over and reminisce about past birthday celebrations (wherever it may be), I find it really cool that while I could be with different sets of friends, there are also those who remain in the frame, unchanged. For that, I love you guys!

To the Eastern Finals!

Nicked this photo from Ray Allen's twitter account. The Celtics' starting 5 looking dashing especially The Truth! Anyway, this post is in honor of the boys winning over Cavaliers earlier (sorry James, still no ring to put on this year) which means that they are on their way to Eastern finals and who knows, and I am crossing all hands and feet fingers here, the finals.

Just as long as you continue your great game (and Rondo being amazing every game), you're good to go.
I'm waving my imaginary green flag!

Nihon Dinner

Crossing out my number 3 wish on my birthday list that I did a week ago. A Japanese dinner at Oki-Oki Restaurant courtesy of two of my oldest college friends in UP and fellow Dramachine Beybis, Izay and Honey. Catching up with these girls is always a heck of a fun where we not only catch up about each other's lives but also learn a thing or two from the most random information, trivia or gossip there is.

Thank you and I love you both!

Mazel Tov!

Simple lang pero rock.
Salamat!

Tuwennysix

It seems my country will be declaring its new president not very long now. I am embracing myself for 6 years of leadership under his tutelage. I'm honestly wondering, who will be his first lady? Seriously, I don't and will not accept that it will be her youngest sister. What happens if the newly elected president of a nation is single? Never thought of it. Will research soon!

In other news, I am officially a year older. Perhaps not richer, prettier nor cooler but a bit "wais-er".
Here's to wishing another year filled with delightful surprises, madventures, hits and misses, ups and downs, unlimited movies & series downloads, heaps of books, music-drowning, NBA highlights, stranger's kindness, new friends to meet, old friends to keep, Stormtroopers geeking, food binging, turtle lovin', lazy days in beaches, island hopping, mountain trekking, running free, biking safely, laughing loudly, farting silently, meeting idols & icons, living fully, loving unconditionally, patience, leap of faiths, ice cream treats, humbling experiences, multi-colored dreams, debt-free cards, wisdom, kindness aplenty and free-flowing HAPPINESS.

Salamat, Bathala!

Voted!

Ako'y isang responsableng Pinoy ngayon. Sana kayo din!

P.S.
Waking up at 5:30 in the friggin' morning to commute to my precinct in Manggahan and waiting in line for almost two hours to vote was worth it. I hope we get through today just fine and hope to God He will take care of the days after. Amen.

Here Goes

On the big 'ol day, I wish and dream of some of these:
  • a letter/note (from anyone)
  • a cake (Karen's Kitchen's Chocolate Ganache, Manila Peninsula's King Oscar cake or Sucree's Dan's Devastation cake heehee)
  • a dinner/lunch/merienda from any restaurant that I haven't eaten before (ang dami ata nun pero basta pick one lang :)
  • a book (I'm still hoping for a Diary of a Wimpy Kid na hiniling ko nung pasko kaso nadedma lang ni Santa)
  • a nice pen (kahit mura lang!)
  • a plain white/gray shirt
  • libreng beach trip (kung hindi man kalabisan yun mwahaha)
  • mabawas-bawasan naman ang pawis sa kamay ko. Seriously. It's so frustrating not to mention hassle and kadire.
  • bumait na ko at mabawasan ang pagsusungit (which will only happen if i had --->
  • a job (God bless my soul)
  • for Gibo to win the election (God bless this country)
This time I won't ask for the stars, rather I'd just ask for a glimpse of the star. We gotta be realistic here. I've no dough. What if I ask na lang kaya for say, 10 pesos each from my FB or Multiply friend so I can collect money?? I knooow, L-A-M-E. Sorry.
Oooh, one more thing. For Celtics to get to the finals.
Crap!
I just asked for the stars didn't I?
Erase!
