Tangled

Surprisingly, I liked this movie. Not too grand, just rightly entertaining. Also, I liked Mandy Moore's singing voice here. Her voice came a long way from her Candy voice back then. As for Zachary Levi? He never fails to deliver. It's like Chuck all over.

The paper lantern scene? I know a LOT of people have already fallen in love with the idea so I won't add to the hysteria anymore but that was a really bright and great idea. If I was the missing kid of the King and Queen, I would feel so loved everyday of my life even if I didn't get to be with them the first 18 years. :D

NBS Free Comic Book Day

Finally, after dragging the half-hearted Cheese to Galleria, each of us scored a comic book! I'm happy na at least nakabawi na ko for the previous time that I didn't make it. Although it kinda sucked cos we were too chicken to ask for the artist/illustrators' sketches haha so we resolved to watching them on the sides. I forgot to take photos of what we got, next time!

Birthday Reunion/Dinner

I would count that night as one of the rare times that the four of us can be together. I was being realistic when I said that having all of us ex-college housemates in a same room is just too improbable at the moment, but having them 3 makes it the closest thing we can ever have as a reunion. At least for now.

These 3 are some of the people I treasure most in my life. We may not be blood related but we're family. I have the greatest and most memorable experiences and memories in college because of them. Good, bad, happy, sad, embarrassing, especially embarrassing, moments. I have waaay too many of 'em hahaha.

Judging by what we're wearing, guess who's made it big? I think you're wrong. From left: Honey, Jog, me and Rocky

BRGR Project

After a pretty devastating basketball game, I, together with the James (pronounced as Ja-mes) boys aka the half of the AMG bunch decided to eat their pain away na lang. We found ourselves along Maginhawa street looking for some place to eat. Finally picked BRGR Project over Crave.

Now I've heard a lot of stories and read a lot of things about BRGR Project so I was pretty excited. Instructions were pretty simple. Get your order menu in the counter and follow the following steps:

First Step: Choose your own BRGR. Angus? Beef? Chicken? Tofu? Double? Triple!?

Second Step: Choose a Bun. Ooh Sesame Seed (on the house) is perfectly fine for me!

Third Step: Choose a Cheese. Bleu, Gruyere, Mozzarella or Cheddar. I had Gruyere mmm.

Fourth Step: Choose your Premium Toppings. Canadian bacon baby!

Fifth Step: Choose your Basic Toppings. I opted to skip 20-peso worth toppings the cheapskate that I am and instead went for the free toppings hahaha.

Sixth Step: Choose a Sauce. I'm okay na with ketchup lang.

Last step: Name your BRGR. Which took me quite a while so my advice to everyone is this, before you eat at BRGR Project try to come up with a name for your burger kasi magugutom lang kayo kakaisip for that perfect name na hindi nyo maisip while sitting inside bilang mas malakas na ang tawag ng tiyan kesa sa paggana ng utak haha.

Next time I'd totally steer my burger into a new direction :D

It's always a delight to be with these rowdy, funny boys.

As I Lay Dying

Thoughts on The Vampire Diaries' season 2 finale:

It's Stefan's time to shine as the evil brother (creators probably realized now how boring Stefan's character was haha), uh-oh for the ghosts of Jeremy's old girlfriends and ooh, screw it no matter how awkward the deathbed scene was (since Damon actually lived), I am team Delena!

Damon: I’ve made a lot of choices that have gotten me here. I deserve this. I deserve to die.
Elena: No! You dont!
Damon: I do, Elena. It’s okay. Because if I had chosen differently I wouldn’t have met you. I’m so sorry. I’ve done so many things to hurt you.
Elena: It’s okay. I forgive you.
Damon: I know you love Stefan, and it will always be Stefan. But I love you…you should know that.
Elena: I do.
Damon: You should have met me in 1864. You would have liked me.
Elena: I like you now. Just the way you are.

Gaaahd September seems lightyears away from now.

Obligatory Birthday Photo

Taken by the Cheese during our "birthday lunch date". Turning 27 is so, for the lack of fancier word, meh. There's nothing special about it at all.

On that note, I can't wait to hit 30.

PS:

Thank you Lord for another year! :)

Mosley was no Match for Pacquiao

photo from LA times website
Pacman rarely gets irked, but after their boooring match, even the WBO welterweight champion wasn't able to hide his frustration against opponent, Shane Mosley. For the most part, Mosley was a reluctant challenger who refused to give an engaging, even a good 'ol nice fight.

Nevertheless, a win is still a win. Congrats Manny, we're so proud of you. You know.

...The Hardest Word

a·pol·o·gy [uh-pol-uh-jee] –noun, plural -gies.
  1.  a written or spoken expression of one's regret, remorse, or sorrow for having insulted, failed, injured, or wronged another: He demanded an apology from me for calling him a crook.
Acknowledging that you hurt somebody implies that you want to make amends, that you want that person's forgiveness. However, if you are the the type of person who has difficulties with saying "I'm sorry", remember these:
  1. apologising helps repair a relationship
  2. put yourself in that person's shoes, how would you feel about it if you are in their position?
  3. It doesn't make you less of a person.
