There are so many things to be thankful this year. I guess 2009 was the hardest year for every Filipino. It was filled with devastating calamities, too many deaths, violence and injustices.

I was thinking that 2010 could be a possibly good year for us all but then again, it's election year so God knows what's still about to come. But for the mean time, I am sending a silent prayer of utmost gratitude to the main Man who rules the cosmo for everything that I accomplished, experienced, received and achieved this year. May you never tire of forgiving and hearing the same old stuff over and over again from me. :D

Some Christmas Stuff I Got

Exchanged a gift for a chocolate!

A flats from Honey! So timely <3

A kick-ass red race track shoes from the Cheese.

I'm still waiting for "some" gifts to arrive like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid DIY book and a Stormtrooper-y thingamajig. But I'm guessing I'll be the one who hafta get it for myself. Okay lang!

28th

Seems to me I'll be stuck here. I badly want to get away but I don't know how. Everybody is either away or happily spending time with their families. It's kinda getting boring having my everyday routine. I want something new, something that will break the monotony.

So excuse me if I don't seem to be myself lately because how can you be exactly happy when you're unemployed and filled with "i wish and I hope thoughts"?

Sorry. I am not whining cos I'm perfectly aware that it is actually in my hands, whatever it is that I want. I have to act if I don't want to stay in this rut that I am in or else there will be blood. Or not!

There is a void that must be filled. That's all.

My Daily Troopers

Dislike with capital D

Watching New Moon is worse than watching a really, really bad Pinoy movie. One where rolling your eyes are not enough so you add gagging. Sheesh. I just don't get these two lovesick puppies, one that is a human, a very feeble human, and a stalker vampire in my opinion. A vampire whose only words are "you are my life" and "I cannot live without you...". There is absolutely nothing to quote from the books nor the films.

I'm not a fan. Obviously. I don't get why kids all over America are going gaga over it, not to mention the guy who portrays the vampire (that I seriously does NOT get at all!). But I digress. Seriously, the guy dropped you like that without ever explaining why, saying he don't love you yadda yadda, I mean would you believe that crap if you really knew each other? Denying someone of the truth is despicable.

Everytime Bella comes to Edward's aid and I see the pain in Jacob's eyes, it breaks my heart. The boy does not deserve that. The boy kept you alive, pulled you out of your miserable wretchedness when the man you love left you without giving you the benefit of explanation, and you can't even defend him? Because Bella Swan's mind is closed to everything else not Cullen related.

Bella Swan is one character that I awfully dislike. Actually, she doesn't have much of a character unlike thousands of other fictional and literary characters out there. I often wished that her maker made her even more... I dunno, a character with a character. It does not necessarily mean she has to be strong but she shouldn't be always saved every minute. She doesn't even smile (okay, so that's a bit more of Kristen Stewart maybe), doesn't even have a life outside the vampires. Bella could have been an interesting character without being too feisty but that's the problem, she never was near being a feisty girl.

Augh. I can go on but the idea exasperates me. It's annoying. The wolf pack are the only real characters and fun ones at that in the Twilight saga. I honestly believe they do not belong in this plot at all. They could've been better in another story probably.

They're Back!

Lately I'm seeing her a lot more often than the past few months, not that I mind though. In fact, it's quite good. So much has changed (just look at our hairs now!) but it still feels the same. I like that.

- A new place. No more dingy and crampy room. It adds to my depression but I know I haf no choice as of now. Pag naka-luwag-luwag na si Mariela pasasaan di't makakahanap sya ng maayos-ayos na tirahan. WANTED: housemate to help ease the house rent nyahaha.
-More travels! Within the country and outside the country. Amen.

Productive Yesterday

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Super enjoyed this musical play with Honey! Brought to the local shores of Manila, Spelling Bee is a one-act award winning musical play with music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Rachel Sheinkin (that's according to Wikipedia).

I was really excited for the surprise celebrity spellers and the audience spellers. How would they fare? Miss Weatherhead made an impressive job (she's an audience participant). The celebrity guests were Leo Martinez and Lexi Schulze. They were all great sports that night.

It was a really fun, laugh-out-loud kind of musical, something that everyone in the little theater enjoyed. My favorite speller? Hmm..probably Leaf Coneybear and his trance spelling haha. Miss Peretti and Mitch Mahoney's singing voice were astounding. Grabe galeng!

We'll be saving up for Avenue Q next year! yay. :)

Plants vs. Zombies

Played it in about 6 hours straight one night. I didn't get the hype. But I dreamt of plants shooting peas on zombies though. :))
