On a Deathly Hallows High

I reckoned it's not a great idea to read the book before watching its film version because I ended up spoiling the movie for myself counting the bits of details where they changed some details in the movie as opposed to what's to be found in the book.

But other than that, I have nothing against this film. The bleak and gray color was apt. It just makes me freaking sad every time I think that it'll be over soon. And ooh, that Tales of the Three Brothers was pretty brilliant!

Prepare for Harry Potter spam!

Who knew? But darn right!

Deathly Hallows will always have that heavy-on-the-shoulders effect on me.

LOL

Dobby owned that scene

Why not Won Won

Wednesday LOVE

Finally, my long-overdue Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans has arrived. Harry Potter fans would know what I'm talking about here. Excited! What to taste first? Booger? Dirt? Earthworm? Vomit? Rotten Egg? or Earwax? Can't wait!

Happy Birthday Harry!

For the boy who lived in the cupboard under the stairs for 11 years, found out he was a wizard on his 11th birthday, got labeled as the "Chosen One" when he was 16, has just turned another year older. For me Harry Potter is as ordinary as everyone, just born in an extraordinary circumstance and world.

Happy 29th Birthday lad! And oh, of course this also means: Happy Birthday Miss J.K. Rowling!

Cheers!

paradoxically speaking..

one of the best cinemas in the country is practically in the backyard of our office building. that's why it's killing me that Luna Lovegood is having the time of her life and Sirius Black is freaking-gonna-die-on-this, but i cannot, in any condition, be able to watch it til after who-knows when. goshdarnit!

and oh, i swear i'm gonna go for a kill for anyone who's gonna divulge the happenings in Hallows. I totally agree with Chico (..and Delamar) that they would have to go to jail (at least for the time being though) for talking about it. ha!

i am so happy i was able to surf the net after a two-week hiatus.gawd. i have so many things to tell. for starters, the kid beside me is SO annoying.

and i hate Margaret "Meg" Murry. I adore Bumblebee. And looking forward to sharing a donut with our homie Homer Simpson. D'oh!

Official Jacket Summaries

UK Edition

With the release of the book jacket images, Bloomsbury also released the inside flap and back cover texts: Inside Flap:

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety, and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him.
In this final, seventh installment of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling unveils in spectacular fashion the answers to the many questions that have been so eagerly awaited. The spellbinding, richly woven narrative, which plunges, twists and turns at a breathtaking pace, confirms the author as a mistress of storytelling, whose books will be read, reread and read again.”

Back Cover:

“Harry is waiting in Privet Drive. The Order of the Phoenix is coming to escort him safely away without Voldemort and his supporters knowing – if they can. But what will Harry do then? How can he fulfil the momentous and seemingly impossible task that Professor Dumbledore has left him with?”

US Edition

American cover.
Scholastic has also released the details of the American cover. For the fourth time (and the first since Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), the cover is a wraparound. David Saylor, art director at Scholastic, describes the cover as:

“The structures around Harry show evident destruction and in the shadows behind him, we see outlines of other people. On the back cover, spidery hands are outstretched toward Harry. Only when the book is opened does one see a powerful image of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, his glowing red eyes peering out from his hood.”

Mary GrandPré, the illustrator of the US edition books, has not used a monochromic color scheme, as she did with Order of the Phoenix (blue hues) and Half-Blood Prince (green hues). Instead she has reverted back to the color schemes of the first four books.

the evolution of ron, harry and hermione

Last weekend I got the chance to reread Harry Potter books again (after my dreadful exams twas my relaxation moment..sorta). And as always, they (characters) never disappoint. i am still enthralled, amazed and touched everytime i finished reading these books.even after reading them a few more times i bet i will never, ever get tired of reading them over and over again. I so LOVE them. I am still a Harry Potter fanatic at heart despite everything. :)
LOOKIT THEM!

look at 'em. they were so young then (of course they were!)

and then the second installment came out..

..and this was way, way an improvement for their looks. at least they looked like any ordinary growing up kids with just the right stuff,

..and the latest.
Can't wait for the Book (sadly the last too) 7. I can't wait for lucky 07-07-07 next year. yey! kahit na mamaga na mata ko sa pagbabasa sa ebook makabasa lang i'm all down for you glorious seh-ven!
Syempre there's also the fifth movie installation, the Order of the Phoenix. Can't wait to see Sirius again, Luna Lovegood (who really looks like Loony!!!) and Dolores Umbridge (that *%@#&!)

Hey, hey, hey, Luna Lovegood!

Presenting the newly found Luna. Mukha ba syang Loony?
Hmm..Pwede. Kaya lang may di tama sa kanya, di ko lang
mawari kung ano. Nwey, nakalimutan ko na pero
blonde nga ba si Luna? Di ba black? ewan.
My memory is failing me again.
Pero sabi sa mga balita, ang ganda daw ng eyes nya, gray!
Hay, nabuhay na naman tuloy ang pagnanasa ko
sa next HP installment at syempre yung last book.
