Cebu Valentine

Valentine's day has never been a big deal for me. Pero siguro before I admit may pagka-Bitter Ocampo lang din akong konti sa mga taong ang sasaya lang tuwing Vday not because they have jowas but because they have chocolates and/or stuff given to them by their jowas hahaha. Labo.

This was the Cheese and I's very first out-of-town Vday celebration (na di naman pasok sa mismong 14 haha flop), chillax at sobrang pampered in Cebu, wala akong masabi. Kahit may away on the side, oh well, love conquers all CHOS. In my case, a hungry tummy with no money conquered it all. Aarte pa ko e wala kong pera that time.

I don't get the flower-giving hullaballoos every 14th of February but if that's your thing hey who am I to judge you, ika nga, walang basagan ng trip! Personally, I never saw the practicality of of giving and receiving one. Bigyan mo na lang ako eraser or chocnut mas matutuwa pa ko haha.

And yes, sinadya kong magpost the day after para kunwari hindi cheesy LOL. Belated happy commercialism er Valentine's day everyone. Give love not just on Christmas and Valentine's days, dapat araw-araw may chocolate para good mood palagi ayiii!

Boracay!

Finally, my outstanding date with Boracay came. I was supposed to spend it with a friend but she has to call it off due to health restrictions, so, naturally, I have to ask the Cheese. I'm super thankful because it was not easy for him to get out of the office, look for someone willing to swap with his current schedule at a time when overtime and absolutely-no-absence policy was being imposed. I thank Bathala!

I'm a Boracay virgin so my perception of the island and what it's supposed to be were solely based on what my friends and other people's stories, what I read on blogs and what I've seen on the telly.

Well, I've seen better beaches. I admit though that the proximity of lodges/hotels/restaurants/bars/stores and whathaveyou's amazed me. Everything is within a 10-meter radius. If you ran out of water or need some meds for an upset tummy, you can always run to the nearest [drug]store. No one can argue that food or bar choices are limited because there are tons of stores to choose from, or spots, stalls, everything!

I'd like to commend the local government for one thing. A spotlessly clean port, beach and shoreline. I was having a mini fit with all the fees we were paying for upon arrival (environmental, terminal and another I forgot!) but seeing as they take good care of the place (as only fitted), maintaining its world class quality, I'd have to say that at least the money's going somewhere (which is a rarity in Philippine system so please don't judge me haha).

For that observations alone, you have my respect Boracay. I, we had so much fun. Until next time!

PS: I got too lazy to do photo collage on paint manually (photoshop be darned!) so I resorted to an online photo collage maker. Keber na.

Mac and Cheese turns 2

And who would have thought? I certainly didn't! But there, 24 solid months, 104.35 weeks, 730.48 days. There's nothing extraordinary about these statistics because I personally know a lot more people who've been together waaay longer than us. What makes it not ordinary is the fact that I actually made it this far but not without a handful of bumps in the relationship road of course. Believe me, I have forgotten the countless times I've hinted the Cheese of my not-going-to-stick-for-long acts that anyone is free to accuse me of being a bad girlfriend.

But times have changed. During rare moments of clarity, I look at him and think to myself "ayoko pa ring mag-asawa at magkapamilya, pero in all fairness, ang swerte ko at ikaw ang naging [unang] boypren ko."

Look who's 25

I don't have a lot of time (I got 3 minutes top!) to compose a proper blog entry but I need to write this.

Today is the Cheese's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) as well as Quezon City Day (Yay, no work and school for you QC peeps!).

My wishes for the Cheese: saktong sensitivity lang (ilagay sa lugar) , more patience, no more aways please, kabaitan, more money (HAHAHA), strength and happiness.

Dream a little dream and aim for it. Yown lang.

Soul Searching*

Today is my maternal grandmother's birthday, you know, the one where my mother got my first name. So here's to you and many more years ahead. I wish you good, good health.

~~
Obviously, I wasn't able to post yesterday. I was sick and was not able to come to the office, no work, no office internet connection, no blog post. There. I hate being sick. It's totally the worst feeling in the world, aside from being alone of course. And it is especially worse because no one's around to take care of you, cook warm soup for you or just someone to yell at you to take your meds.

That's why I thank the Cheese for taking the extra mile(s) to come and visit sick-o me. Thanks for the Chicken Alfredo and the Gatorades. :)

~~
Even the boss can be frustrated. Why of course they're human too. Whatever it was that was bugging him certainly became too much for him to handle that I supposed, his guard was momentarily let down.

It amazes me somehow, while he can be a pain in the arse, he can very well be a nice chap too. People. He's nice. As a friend. For a boss, maybe not really.. :D

You're just 22. Enjoy yer life. Leave if you must, if you can. Never stay for the wrong reasons. Smile na!

*cos that's what's playing in my list!

Pre-post

Tomorrow, the Cheese will be celebrating his 24th birthday, there will be no flashy surprises nor any fancy party . Work simply ruins everything heehee.

Kidding aside, I just want the Cheese to be happy. I know I always tell my friends that I wish them happiness always, everytime. Well, he is no exception. I wish him happiness today, tomorrow and for years to come. From whomever or whatever that happiness may come from, that is solely up to him.

Cheers to you Sleepyhead! I'll see you tomorrow.

It's a Date!

After a very frustrating Friday (and detaining myself inside the crampy room), Sunday was a breeze, thanks to the Cheese, who insisted to pay for everything. The movie and the merienda in Bubble Tea.
I did not expect to like GI Joe, I only relented because the Cheese wants to watch it. I didn't know them much because I never got to watch the show when I was a kid. Me and my cousins have places to see each afternoon after classes, we don't really stay in front of the telly unless it's the morning cartoon shows. Haha. So anyway, with all the nano technologies, super technologies, warheads and flying a blackbird, I quite enjoyed the film cos I didn't expect anything from it. And oh, I liked Scarlett not Duke. Not much of A Channing Tatum fan ever since.

Chicken Tori Fry

Double Chocolate Milkshake. YUM!

why does it always rain on me, travis?

it's times like these i wish i had a normal loving family who would take me and cuddle me in their warm arms to assure me that yes, i'd still have them around after a long and stressful day. a normal family who wouldn't mind that I'm still under their roof because it happened that I'm still unemployed. a family that I can talk to of how my day went: was it bloody or gory? mothers and fathers who take care of children simply because they are children and they have the right to be taken care of. Well, those are stuff that i will never, ever find out nor experience for myself, at least not in this lifetime.

i wish all my friends right now were just next door so i can knock the door down, flop myself in the mutilated but comfy sofa and just cry my heart out, runny nose or not they couldn't care less. friends who would hear out all the strange news that I've been getting on my birthday freaking eve. their presence is enough to calm my infested, tired, small brain. given there's still left amidst all this madness.

i wish genies were real and actually grants three wishes to whoever sets them free (given that i was the one who set him free). all right since i'm desperate i could even settle for one.

i wish i wasn't such a dud for opening my tear ducts for like about every other hour. gawd i'm beginning to sound like an emo child. in clinics, in bookstores, in bus. tsktsk.

an ad i saw along EDSA while on the bus on my way home:
" a must have cake for May"
..jeez, you are so thoughtful Red Ribbon. i too, felt the tears that came out of nowhere.
