Leonard Nimoy and Stephen Hawking to Guest Star on Big Bang Theory

Finally, Sheldon Cooper's lifelong obsession of meeting Mr. Spock is coming true albeit in a dream sequence only (and I read we'll only be hearing Mr. Nimoy's voice so not really a physical meeting haha).

Long time fans and Big Bang Theory followers were undoubtedly ecstatic when the news broke out of the two appearing on separate episodes of the popular TV series. I myself am super excited because it has been Sheldon's dream to meet the original Spock himself (again, technically he's not really gonna meet him, as Mr. Nimoy's non-screen appearance agreement still stands). But still, it's something.

As for nabbing the celebrated theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking to do an appearance, even the show's executive producer Bill Prady can't really explain how everything happened. He described it as a "mystery that only Stephen Hawking himself would understand." For them, Stephen Hawking has always been the dream guest but somehow the idea gets brushed aside, so how it happened is surely something that the whole team won't forget for a long time.

Mercado sa Barangay Kapitolyo

As if the ever growing number of restaurants in buzzing Kapitolyo aren't enough, here comes another food destination to look forward to - night market! Following the footsteps of Mercato Centrale, our neighborhood just upgraded and brought their own version of night market. My office friends came upon Mercado sa Kapitolyo through sheer coincidence (after we unwillingly left Share Tea because the store was about to close) but we ended up having fun checking and trying out foods that were being sold.

They had giant pizzas that reminds me a lot of Sbarro's. We bought one slice and divided it amongst us. We also bought Pasta Negra which was really GOOD! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch a photo of it since my phone camera has a terrible quality on low light setting hee.

 This all thing crispy offerings caught my eye.

It was only their first day (erm night?) so a lot of things, such as extra tables & chairs, absence of trash cans and the likes, are still amiss. Maybe on their second night they'll have it run more smoothly. I'll keep my fingers crossed! Sayang naman kasi kung di maging successful. 

MedChef also sells mini cakes on Mercato Centrale. We didn't meet the chef cos he was probably  there!

I hope this night market becomes a regular thing in Kapitolyo, not only will it draw more people and jobs, it would also be a really good opportunity for all - homemakers, chefs, cooks, etc. - to showcase their talents, be known for it, and of course, earn from it.

Share Tea: New Milk Tea Spot in Kapitolyo

While walking on my way home from PC area, I saw this fairly new milk tea shop strategically situated on the groundfloor area of D Ace Plaza. In my head, I was counting all the milk tea shops we currently have in Kapitolyo/Pioneer area. There's Chatime, Cha Dao, Moonleaf and now, this.

Even though it was a work night the place was filled and from the looks of it, most of them probably also live somewhere nearby (you know, pambahay vibes ba).

There was so many to choose from but I opted to go for one of their bestsellers - Taiwan Pearl Milk Tea. At the counter they even let me sign up in a guest book for a loyalty card. Another card to fill with stamps, ha!

Now this part I don't really know how to explain. The taste. Well, for me it tastes like any other milk teas that I've tried haha. Forgive me, my ability of putting into words the quality of food and drinks are very limited. Kaya nga I can never be a food critic because my descriptions would mostly play around delicious and not delicious (pwede ring terrible!), tastes like ___, okay naman ang lasa and the likes. I'm pretty sure no one will like that. I won't either!

 So last Friday night, after a pretty loooong day at work, along with two of my friends in the office, we trooped to Share Tea so they could also experience it (after all the word share is there).

This time I ordered (what I swore to try next time I come to the store): Rock Salt Cheese with Green Tea which tastes heavily of green tea (naturally, hee).

Souvenir Bills from my Travels

Well, except for that hundred-peso bill which I used as a replacement for my Vietnamese Dongs (which I seem to be missing uh oh). The Cambodian Riel is so filthy I cringe whenever I hold it lolol.

In fairness, malaki-laking pera ang suma total ng lahat ng ito! I'll save the bigger bills for rainy days hee.
