Payday Lunch Series: Lunch a la Mafia at Gotti's Ristorante

It was payday Friday but we can't eat on a chosen restaurant yet because we were not complete so we opted to eat in Gotti's located in SM Megamall Atrium.

An order of cream of pumpkin that Ten and Rox requested to be divided into three separate bowls. Nice!

Mushroom Bruschetta

Judging by the presence of pesto, I'm assuming this is Pesto Nettuno (I wasn't there when they ordered haha).

The Godfather. Perfectly thin-crusted pizza just the way I like it :)

Lastly, for dessert: Mango con Cioccolato Crespelle.

Yabu House of Katsu

It's my third time to eat here but it's my first time to write about Yabu. Why? Because I always seem to leave my camera and the quality of my phone camera won't do justice at Yabu's food.

Eating at Yabu is a treat that we always look forward to, when it's payday or we're feeling down. haha. palusot.

I had the rosu.

I should try the chicken set next time.

I would love to have this someday, The best daw talaga ang Kurobuta.

Japanese rice goodness. It's unlimited too!

My Rosu set. Unlimited cabbage, pickled veggies, Japanese rice and fruits.

I love you but I can't have you everyday nor once a week. :D But that makes me look forward to our dates. chos.

Chef's Quarter

As a payday tradition, we went to eat somewhere nice. We were supposed to eat at Yabu but dios mio, we're #13 on their waiting list. Wag na.

We ended up in this quiet restaurant on the 3rd floor of Atrium, Chef's Quarter.

The menu.

We ordered their Caprese with Mushroom. It was good! I had fun rolling them but most especially, munching them.

My friend Romy ordered this Seafood Paella which actually taste good.

Ten, on the other hand, ordered Peppered Steak French-Style in light cognac sauce with salad and mashed potato on the side.

While I had the Lamb Spareribs Provencale with potato confit, grilled tomato and lemon wedge. This is where my problem started.

We were about to pay and for some reason can't seem to get the total straight despite numerous computations. When I finally found the reason for this, I was dismayed. It said on the menu that a solo order costs PhP195 but I seemed to have missed the "per 100 grams" on the side. And I was fairly sure that it didn't say on the menu that the minimum gram is 200 but there it was. I wished they could have just written down that on the menu so it won't misled people like us who thought that a 195-peso lamb spareribs was a really good deal. But like anything else in this world, it was too good to be true.

Komoro Soba Saves the Day

We failed in locating Abbondanza in Megamall (we really couldn't find it for the love of food!) but Komoro Soba and its Japanese food saved the day.

Back when I was still working in Ortigas, Komoro Soba are my friends/officemates' go to restaurant when we want quick and delicious food. Never fails.

Then we dropped by the newly opened branch of Chatime for what more, milk tea fix! In their Megamall branch they serve tons of pastries and mini cakes almost reminiscent of French Baker haha.

With my girrrls!

Chatime's interior colour designs are so refreshing in the eyes. Wala lang.
